CottageBee is bakery management software for cottage bakers, the home-based makers who turn a kitchen into a small business.

Why it exists

Cottage baking runs on details that are easy to get wrong and tedious to get right. Which products contain dairy. What a recipe looked like three batches ago. Whether there is enough flour for the weekend. What a tray of shortbread actually costs to make.

Most bakers track that across a notebook, a spreadsheet, and memory. It works until it doesn't. Usually at the least convenient moment.

How it was built

CottageBee was built alongside a working cottage bakery, in use from the first week rather than designed in the abstract. Every part of it exists because a real bake day needed it: labels that had to be right, an ingredient list that had to match, a market stand that had to balance at the end of the day. We kept what worked and changed what didn't.

Where it is now

CottageBee is in early access. Accounts are approved one at a time, so that the people using it get answered when something is wrong.
