Terms of Service
This document is currently under review. It describes how CottageBee actually behaves today; if anything here is unclear, ask us before relying on it.
What this is
CottageBee is bakery management software, provided in early access. Accounts are approved individually and there is no charge today.
Your records are yours
The recipes, products, and business records you enter belong to you. We store and display them on your behalf. We claim no ownership of them and will not use them for any purpose other than running the service for you.
What we ask of you
- Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself.
- Do not use CottageBee to break the law.
- Do not attempt to reach another bakery's records.
Cottage food rules are yours to meet
CottageBee helps you produce labels and keep records, including the state-required text you configure. It does not certify that your products or labels satisfy the rules where you operate. Cottage food law varies by state and changes; confirming compliance is your responsibility.
Availability, plainly
This is early access software. It may be interrupted, and it may have bugs. We take backups and we take your data seriously, but you should not treat CottageBee as your only copy of records your business depends on.
The service is provided as is, without warranty. We are not liable for losses arising from its use.
Ending things
You can stop using CottageBee whenever you like and ask us to export or delete your records. We may close an account that abuses the service or puts other bakeries' data at risk.
Changes
When these terms change materially, we will tell account holders directly rather than quietly editing this page.
